Who we are...
His Name’s Sake, Inc. (HNS) is a community based action group. Our primary objective is to disciple and mentor women who want to grow and develop in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
The organization was founded by Carolyn Sue Fitton (a retired teacher with over 40 years teaching high school students and adult education) and Larry McDermott (a life-long local resident and businessman) who had on their heart to continue with the calling of a friend who passed away a few years ago. Bev’s mission work came from her own life experiences and she opened her home to other women who needed a safe place to start a new way of life and ultimately grew a deep love for Our Saviour.
The idea for this program resulted from Bev’s House and other board members leading Bible study outreach groups at the local jail since 1985 and ongoing. Since then we have reorganized into an assistance program.
HNS Committee Members: Our remaining board of directors and committee members are from all walks of life and experiences, being highly-qualified and dedicated to the vision, always ready to provide guidance to women on their spiritual journey getting back on their feet with a second chance in life.
What we have to offer...
His Name’s Sake extends God’s love to their valued participants with a variety of transitional services such as:
- Provide assistance to applicants seeking a safe place to make necessary changes.
- Show how to depend upon God to compensate for problems that may be too hard to overcome.
- Teach responsibility to be aware of the life-controlling problems due mainly to the lack of being responsible under God for personal actions.
- Assist, guide, direct and help in every way possible, yet not hinder individual responsibilities.
- Offer help to women who are ready to become the person they were designed to be.
